BLET National President
The holiday season is the one time during the hustle and bustle of the busy year that we set aside to share the true meaning and spirit of Brotherhood with all. It is a time to extend wishes of peace, prosperity and fellowship to all BLET members and their families.
Likewise, let us all join together to thank our troops overseas, particularly at this time of year when it is especially difficult to be away from home and family.
As BLET members, let us be thankful for the blessings we have enjoyed in 2009 and look forward to new energy in the coming year. The BLET National Division and Advisory Board will invest much of our energies in negotiating a new national contract and finding new ways to strengthen our organization. The new year will also bring many other challenges before our great Brotherhood as we maintain constant vigilance to enforce our contracts and to protect the rights of our membership from the perpetual threats that always arise.
Our members are the true heart of our Brotherhood, but we sometimes forget how much we mean to one another. Our organization is like a family. While we often have different views, we always have the same vision — to provide the best representation possible for our Brothers and Sisters.
On behalf of the BLET National Division, the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board, I wish all BLET members and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
