Registration continues for the BLET’s 2025 Western Regional Meeting in Bellevue, Wash., located across Lake Washington from Seattle. Registration and hotel reservations can be made at bletregionals.org. Room rates are $229.00 per night (plus tax) and reservations must be made by July 21.
Opening ceremonies and a BLET members-only closed session will be held on Tuesday, August 19. Workshops for Local Chairmen, Secretary-Treasurers, Legislative Representatives, along with special sessions regarding Preparing for Retirement – Insurance Benefits Seminars will be held throughout the day on Thursday, August 21. August 20 will be family day as well as the annual golf outing, which will take place at The Golf Club at Newcastle — Coal Creek Course. The meeting will conclude with a dinner dance on the evening of August 21.
There is no cost for BLET members who wish to attend the August 19 meetings and the August 21 workshops, but there are fees for those who choose to attend the August 18 welcome reception and all other meals. More information is available here.
While attending the Regional Meeting members have business to be handled, meetings to attend and classes that give valuable information on how to better perform their job duties. But on their down time, members and their families are encouraged to enjoy all the Seattle/Bellevue area has to offer. Some examples are taking an automobile ferry across Puget Sound and driving to Olympia National Park, whale watching, the iconic Space Needle, and visiting Pike Place Market just to name a few.
