ROANOKE, Va. — Saturday will be diesel locomotive day in downtown Roanoke at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. The museum, working with Norfolk Southern Corp., the Roanoke Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and others, plans to display five distinctive diesel locomotives.
