NEW YORK — The House Appropriations Committee on July 16 approved the Fiscal Year 2022 Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) funding bill of $84.1 billion, a more than 11% boost over 2021. The bill includes an increase of $1.9 billion for the Department of Transportation (DOT) and $6.8 billion for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In total, the bill provides $162.6 billion in budgetary resources, a 19% increase above 2021.
