ALBANY, N.Y. — A House subcommittee on Thursday moved to end federal funding to Amtrak for trains that also receive state financial support. If enacted by Congress — a possibility that seems unlikely — the bill could eliminate 150 state-supported trains and leave stranded more than 9 million passengers annually, according to Amtrak.
