GALESBURG, Ill. — Local Amtrak stations could see drastic cuts if Gov. Bruce Rauner’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2016 is approved. Rauner’s proposed budget includes a 40 percent cut in state funding for Amtrak, which would bring funding from its current level of $42 million down to $26 million.
