Last month, the Teamsters Human Rights and Diversity Commission, in conjunction with the Teamsters History Project, hosted a Zoom presentation highlighting the history of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET). The Zoom presentation examining the 162-year history of the BLET was conducted by John Bentley, BLET Director of Public Relations Department and Editor. Founded on May 8, 1863, the BLET is the oldest labor union in North America.
