LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Positive, but inconclusive. That is how elected leaders in Tippecanoe County described talks Wednesday about continuing Amtrak’s Hoosier State passenger rail service to Lafayette after federal funding for routes shorter than 750 miles ends Oct. 1.
