NEW YORK — Hunter Harrison is delivering a lecture on the right way to run a railroad — the Hunter Harrison way. “I say this with the appropriate degree of humility,” drawls the recently named chief executive of CSX, America’s third-largest rail carrier. “I know how to run a railroad. I wrote the playbook.” He pauses for emphasis and adds: “I ain’t leavin’ a failure.”
