OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Two cities and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission are temporarily banned from enforcing the state’s new blocked railroad crossing law after a federal judge issued an injunction on it. The ruling comes after the Texas-based BNSF Railway Co. filed a federal lawsuit against the commission and the cities of Edmond and Davis for ticketing them for blocking intersections. The lawsuit aims to prohibit enforcement of the Oklahoma law, arguing the U.S. law governing rail carriers supersedes state law.
