KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Southern and its subsidiaries today announced the appointment of Leonard L. Wagner as associate general counsel.

“With nearly 20 years of proven litigation experience, Leonard will be a valuable member of our legal team,” said William J. Wochner, senior vice president and chief legal officer. “His focus area will be claims and litigation.”

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Wagner worked for Husch & Eppenberger, LLC, Armstrong Teasdale LLC and Watson, Ess, Marshall & Enggas. He holds a juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he graduated cum laude, and a bachelor of arts in English from Rockhurst College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Wisconsin Bar, the American Bar Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
