KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Southern announced today that David C. Reeves has been appointed associate general counsel. Mr. Reeves joins KCS from Baker & Miller PLLC of Washington, D.C., a firm specializing in antitrust and the transportation industry. Mr. Reeves represented KCS as regulatory counsel in the acquisition of TFM, S.A. de C.V. and the Meridian Speedway LLC, a Joint Venture with Norfolk Southern. As in-house counsel, Mr. Reeves will continue to represent KCS on matters before the Surface Transportation Board and the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Terry, KCS’ senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. “His advice will be especially important as we expand capacity and grow traffic in the Meridian Speedway corridor from Shreveport, La., to Meridian, Miss., and as we rebuild the Victoria to Rosenberg line in Texas.”

Mr. Reeves holds a juris doctorate from Duke University School of Law, where he graduated with honors, and a bachelor of arts from the University of North Carolina.
