CLEVELAND, November 15 — The Operation RedBlock team in Hazard, Ky., is currently conducting a “Great Holiday Model Train Raffle” to support upcoming RedBlock events in Eastern Kentucky.

“Help make a difference by supporting a strong stand against alcohol and drug use in the railroad workplace,” said RedBlock Team Captain Matthew J. Schwerin, a member of BLE Division 830 in Hazard, Ky.

Operation RedBlock is a union program, supported in part by rail management. Its purpose is to make the railroad working environment safe and free from alcohol and drugs while using peer involvement to provide help to those who need it.

For $3 per ticket (or two for $5), participants will be entered into a drawing to win one of 12 electric train sets. The raffle ends on December 8, so the train sets should arrive in time for the holiday season.

Available train sets include K-Line, Kato, Life-Like, Athearn and Lionel, and are N & HO scale and O & G gauge. Some sets have a retail value of more than $200.

Donations must be received by December 8, 2002. Check or money order should be made payable to the following:

Hazard ORB Committee
P.O. Box 2082
Hazard, KY 41702

Be sure to include your address and telephone number. A ticket stub and prize list will be mailed to you.
