Union pride was on full display at parades, picnics, and related events on Labor Day. Major parades took place in large cities such as Milwaukee, Detroit, and Pittsburgh.
In Ohio, the members of the BLET Ohio State Legislative Board as well as Division 4 participated in the Toledo Labor Day Parade, one of the largest in the state. The BLET delegation marched with State Representative Dr. Michele Grim, who represents Ohio’s District 43 and serves as Ranking Member of the House Transportation Committee.
In Texas, officers of the BLET Texas State Legislative Board participated in the Tarrant County Labor-Fest in Fort Worth, where they discussed BLET issues with labor-friendly elected officials and candidates for office in the upcoming November elections.
