CLEVELAND, November 2 — Organized labor, including the AFL-CIO and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, made its presence known last night as Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry concluded his campaign tour in Cleveland.
Representing the AFL-CIO at the rally was AFL-CIO President John Sweeney and BLET National President Don Hahs. Kerry concluded his campaign tour in Ohio, an important swing state in this year’s election.
BLET President Hahs urged all members to vote today if they have not already done so. He noted that this year’s election is extremely important for working families.
“Labor had a strong presence at the Kerry rally last night because we believe he represents the best chance for working families to regain influence in the White House,” President Hahs said.
