MONTREAL — Lac-Mégantic’s town council voted to support a Gaspé village asking for a moratorium on a project by Chaleur Terminals Inc. that would increase oil shipments from Alberta to the East Coast. St-Alexis-des-Matapédia wants to stop the project, which would bring 220 oil tankers through northern Quebec each day to the port of Belledune, N.B.
