CLEVELAND, January 25 — Limited pace remains for BLET members interested in attending the Education and Training Department’s Secretary-Treasurer Compliance Workshops in Dallas, Texas, and Jacksonville, Fla. Members are urged to act quickly if they would like to reserve a space.
Currently, just one space remains for the Dallas workshop while 11 spaces remain for the Jacksonville workshop. The Dallas workshop is February 24-27 and the Jacksonville workshop is March 2-5. Members must make room reservations for the Dallas workshop prior to the hotel’s February 3 cut-off date.
Those who wish to attend should register as soon as possible through the BLET website at: https://www.ble-t.org/st.
After registering for the workshop on the BLET website, members will be given hotel contact information and special room rate information. Members will be responsible for making their own hotel reservations.
Many changes have been implemented again this year regarding the filing of LM reports, and it is important for S-Ts to receive training so their reports will be submitted correctly. The changes to the LM Report, along with information regarding the new 990-N and EFTPS, will be explained in class.
Among many other informative sessions, Secretary-Treasurers will also be shown how to use the BLET National Division’s web-based reporting system, which S-Ts use for membership reporting and tax compliance.
The Dallas workshop begins at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, and will conclude at noon on Wednesday, February 27. It will take place at the American Airlines Training and Conference Center.
The Jacksonville workshop begins at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, and will conclude at noon on Wednesday, March 5. It will take place at Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront hotel.
