NEW YORK — Call it “Yo, MTA Raps.”

The LIRR is going old school with a public-service announcement urging riders to watch the gap between train doors and the platform.

“Look down, step over and watch the gap!” the catchy and kitschy “Gap Rap” goes.

The 1980s-style video is rapped by LIRR medical director Dr. John Clarke, who gets an assist from fifth-graders from the Lindell Boulevard School in Long Beach.

LIRR President Helena Williams said she’s hopeful the “unique” YouTube video will “reach a wide audience.”
