NEW YORK — Work to overhaul two stations on the Long Island Rail Road is moving forward. Gov. Cuomo says a $65 million project to construct a new platform and tracks at the Jamaica station in Queens has been awarded. The new platform is expected to open in 2019. Meanwhile, work has already begun at the Hicksville, L.I., station.
