CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Blindsided by Gov. Eric Holcomb’s call to put the brakes on Amtrak’s Hoosier state, local officials are bracing for the end of daily passenger train service in west central Indiana. Holcomb’s budget proposal doesn’t include the $3 million yearly allocation for the route, which runs between Indianapolis and Chicago four days a week. The train makes stops in Crawfordsville, Lafayette, Rensselaer and Dyer.
