LONG BEACH, Calif. — After a series of unsuccessful talks with officials in Los Angeles and BNSF Railway over a massive rail yard project bordering local neighborhoods, the city of Long Beach will turn to the courts for relief. The city of Long Beach is expected to file suit against the city of Los Angeles challenging the $500 million project’s environmental impact report by the end of the first week of June, Long Beach City Attorney Bob Shannon said.
