TULSA, Okla. — One person is dead after he was run over by a train in downtown Tulsa. It happened shortly after 9 PM Wednesday near 6th and Wheeling.
Tulsa Police say a Union Pacific train was in the process of switching and going forwards and backwards. A witness says the victim tried to cross the tracks between a couple of train cars.
Tulsa Police Captain Jim Hunter: “In the process of doing that he slipped down and the train started up and unfortunately the train ran over the individual who had fallen onto the tracks.”
The victim?s name has not been released.
