WASHINGTON, D.C. — President George W. Bush yesterday designated Member Mark V. Rosenker Vice Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board. Mr. Rosenker joined the Safety Board as a Member on March 24, 2003, after serving nearly two years as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Military Office (See NTSB press release SB-03-10).

“I am grateful to President Bush for providing me the opportunity to be part of the leadership team he appointed at NTSB,” said Mr. Rosenker. “I’m eagerly looking forward to working with Chairman Engleman, the other Members and professional staff in furthering the Board’s charter of improving transportation safety within our nation.”

Mr. Rosenker’s two-year term as Vice Chairman will run until April 3, 2005. His term as a Board Member expires on December 31, 2005.
