BALTIMORE, Md. — Maryland has received $3.2 million as reimbursement for expenses related to the inauguration of President Barack Obama, Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski and other officials said Tuesday.

The Department of Justice also released $3.4 million for the Washington Area Transit Authority and $2 million for Amtrak.

Gov. Martin O’Malley had sought an emergency declaration to make Maryland eligible for security expenses and other costs associated with the Jan. 20 inauguration, and the money was included in a federal appropriations bill.
