BOSTON — Outdated maps on the T could become a thing of the past.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is updating the 600 maps that are in Boston and suburban subway stops, The Boston Herald reports.
The old maps, which cost $40 each, are out of date. Those that are currently hanging in stations don’t show the new Silver Line, but they do show four stops on the Green Line’s B branch that were recently eliminated.
Some maps even show stops that were taken out of service in the 1980s.
“One of the things we always hear from customers is that they have trouble finding their way around,” T General Manager Daniel Grabauskas told The Herald. “This will just give them an easier way to get good directions.”
