CLEVELAND, October 8 — The Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program has launched a new website dedicated to rail workers and rail hazmat issues. The website provides rail workers with a web-based learning community and the opportunity to increase overall awareness and knowledge of hazardous materials in transportation. The address is: http://www.hazmatgmc.org.
The website includes:

— A training schedule for four-day hazmat courses, online courses and a link for registration.
— A photo gallery, organized by individual class folders, where students can access and download photos from their class. Pictures include shots from the classroom, SCBA check-out, hands-on simulation exercise, and candid shots taken during training courses.
— A comprehensive Internet resource links/annotated links section to access information and resources that provide online chemical resources; worker health and safety resources, regulations, industry and regulatory information, and links to federal agencies like DOT, OSHA, FRA, NIOSH, EPA, etc.
— A review/refresher section designed to test skills and knowledge.
— A bulletin board for training participants (past and present) to maintain and/or develop relationships with other trainees, peer trainers, instructors and staff of the Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program.
— A current news section that includes industry, regulatory, and rail union news.
