Metra ponders 25-cent fare increases in 2019 and 2020 due to state funding shortfalls

CHICAGO — Metra officials are already pondering the need for more fare increases in 2019 and 2020 — by perhaps 25 cents per ride in each year — if state revenues do not improve.
