CHICAGO — A gas main rupture in Morton Grove stopped Metra trains in their tracks along the Milwaukee District North Line temporarily Monday. The main ruptured across the street from the Morton Grove Metra stop, 8501 Leigh Road. Service is now back up and running, according to officials.
Streets were also closed to traffic in the area for awhile. They have reopened to vehicles.
Officials said workers in the area struck the gas main.
