NEW YORK — Positive Train Control (PTC) now covers nearly 90% of the Hudson Line, from Marble Hill north to Poughkeepsie, a distance of 67 miles that includes track used by Amtrak and CSX, Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi said Thursday. Rinaldi told The Journal News/lohud she’s “extremely confident” the railroad will meet the federal government’s deadline to install PTC across its 800 miles of track by the end of 2020.
