(Connecticut television station WFSB posted the following story on its website on March 25.)

HARTFORD, Conn. — Timing is everything when you’re running a commuter railroad. The timing just wasn’t right for Metro-North when it comes to customer satisfaction.

The railroad is scrapping plans to conduct its semi-annual customer satisfaction survey next month. They fear of a backlash from commuters unhappy about upcoming fare hikes. Officials feel the results will be skewed.

Fare hikes range from 15 percent in Connecticut to 25 percent in New York.
