NEW YORK — The break in a bar joining railroad tracks that derailed a Metro-North train in Bridgeport, Connecticut last year, causing an accident that injured dozens, came not long after other joint bars had broken in the same area, according to documents from federal investigators. That is one of the revelations in a mountain of data released this month by the National Transportation Safety Board as it draws to a close on five investigations into accidents on Metro-North tracks.
