BERLIN, Vt. — Officials say an Amtrak passenger train hit a car in Berlin on Wednesday morning, causing minor injuries.
An Amtrak spokeswoman says the Vermonter train carrying 11 passengers hit the vehicle at a crossing at about 10 a.m. It’s unclear how many people were in the car.
The collision occurred just off Vermont Route 12 on road called Lovers Lane.
Amtrak spokeswoman Karina Romero says there was minor damage to the train, but it will continue on its route to Washington once the accident scene has been cleared.
