RENO, Nevada — A Nevada judge issued a protective order prohibiting the destruction or disposal of any evidence relating to the fatal June 24 collision involving a tractor trailer and Amtrak’s California Zephyr. Six people were killed and more than 20 hurt in the collision.
An attorney representing an Amtrak attendee who is suing the trucking company told the Associated Press that “sometimes crucial evidence is accidentally or in some cases intentionally destroyed.”
