POCATELLO, Idaho — Production will begin mid-April at the new $120,000,000 ethanol factory in Burley. The plant, owned by California based Pacific Ethanol, Inc., will give 40 people jobs.
Housekeeping items and trial runs are underway in preparation for the scheduled start of ethanol production.
100 railcar loads of feed will be delivered by Union Pacific Railroad every week from the nation’s Corn Belt. This amount of feed is expected to produce 60,000,000 gallons of ethanol each year.
Pacific Ethanol, Inc also operates ethanol plants in Boardman, Oregon and Madera, California, with another new plant under construction in Stockton, California.
