MONTREAL — Bombardier Inc. said on Tuesday it received a $206 million order from NJ Transit for 131 more of the Canadian company’s multilevel rail vehicles.

Deliveries of the cars under NJ Transit’s exercise of order options are scheduled for June 2007 to August 2008, for service between New Jersey and Manhattan, Bombardier said.

The stainless steel carbodies of the vehicles will be manufactured at Bombardier’s site in La Pocatiere, Quebec, with final assembly taking place at its Plattsburgh, N.Y., plant.
