SANTA FE, N.M. — Oil and gas revenue would help New Mexico pay its share to keep Amtrak’s Southwest Chief running through the northeast portion of the state under a bill passed Monday by the House, but with just three days remaining in the legislative session, action to preserve the train’s historic route remains uncertain.
