NEWARK, N.J. — NJ Transit officials said they’ve hired 100 new employees, including four safety workers, and will install cameras that face crews driving trains by the end of 2017. The actions come in response to a fatal Sept. 29 train crash in Hoboken and criticisms leveled at the agency’s safety and maintenance record.
