HOBOKEN, N.J. — New Jersey Transit (NJT) has agreed to pay out over $8 million to a number of parties impacted by the 2016 crash in the Hoboken Terminal. On September 29, 2016, the Pascack Valley Line NJT Train 1614 out of Spring Valley overran the station in the Hoboken Terminal around 8:40 in the morning. There were approximately 250 passengers on board. A bystander on the platform — Hoboken resident Fabiola Bittar De Kroon — was killed in the incident, while 108 others were injured.
