NEWARK — With the hours dwindling before a disruptive railroad strike could begin, NJ Transit and union representatives plan to return to the bargaining table Friday, after several hours of negotiations Thursday failed to yield a resolution. A note of discord was introduced before the talks ended Thursday, as NJ Transit notified workers they would be suspended and lose their health benefits if a strike is called at 12:01 a.m. Sunday.
