NEWARK — New Jersey Transit’s “Toys for Tots” drive kicked-off this week. Workers are collecting new or nearly new unwrapped toys for underprivileged children. Officials plan to distribute the toys to various state charities, which will give them to needy kids around the holidays.
New Jersey Transit will be collecting the toys through Thursday. Gifts can be left in special red barrels, which are located in Newark Penn Station or at the Hoboken Terminal.
