VINEMONT, Ala. — Seven cars overturned on the tracks when a CSX train carrying logs, grain and other materials derailed at Vinemont, but no one was reported injured.
Decatur Emergency Services spokeswoman Christy Graves said two cars that previously contained hazardous materials were damaged in the wreck and had to be contained after the Thursday wreck.
The derailment happened around 4 p.m.
CSX was one the scene investigating the cause Thursday, and Graves said investigators would also be there Friday.
