NEW YORK — Analysts at UBS maintain their “buy” rating on Norfolk Southern Corp (NSC.NYS). The target price is set to $65.
In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company has a better quality of operations than its peers. Norfolk Southern’s outlook for volume growth is upbeat, supported by the imminent bottoming of North America auto production, industrial development initiatives aimed to bring new customers and their freight volumes to the Norfolk Southern network, and key intermodal corridor projects, the analysts say.
