CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Norfolk Southern expects to have the next stage of its new operating plan in place by the end of July. July is “where we really go in and reconfigure [NS’s] operating plan itself,” NS president and chief executive Jim Squires told investors during the company’s first quarter earnings call on April 24.
