Hurricane Isabel – Update

Service levels are returning to normal in the aftermath of Hurricane Isabel. All major routes are open, however commercial power outages continue to impact operations in eastern Virginia, particularly between Crewe and Norfolk, Virginia. Generators and additional support have been moved into this area but customers with traffic moving to, from, or through this area should expect 12-18 hour delays.
Special note to customers with committed service agreements: Force majeure is lifted effective 12:01 AM, September 22, 2003, in all areas except Eastern Virginia. Force Majeure remains in effect on shipments normally moving from, to, or via stations between Crewe and Norfolk, Virginia.
