PORTLAND, Ore. — Amtrak service between the Pacific Northwest and St. Paul, Minn. will remain suspended at least through Tuesday due to flooding in North Dakota.
Amtrak suspended that portion of Empire Builder service on Wednesday after two bridges in the Devils Lake basin were threatened by high water.
Empire Builder service will continue between Chicago and St. Paul. Chartered motor coaches will carry passengers between Spokane, Wash., and Portland and Seattle, according to Christina E. Leeds, Amtrak spokeswoman.
