CLEVELAND, November 2 — The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund has established a deadline of November 14 for requests for funds from victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The normal Teamsters Disaster Relief Request for Help form has a 30-day period for members to apply. However, this disaster was different, with members relocated widely, so the deadline was extended. Hundreds of Teamster members have received $500 from the Application for Emergency Assistance.
The deadline for Hurricane Rita assistance was October 26 and the deadline for Hurricane Wilma assistance is November 30.
