NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Southern’s routes to Jacksonville, FL, Brunswick, GA, Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C. have been restored to service. NS is currently working to restore service east of Selma, N.C. to New Bern, N.C. and is experiencing localized flooding in the Norfolk, Va. area. Over 2,000 trees have already been cleared from the tracks as recovery efforts continue.

Norfolk Southern will be working with customers in impacted areas to identify switching needs and service plans. Once service is restored to affected routes, customers should continue to expect delays of 48 to 72 hours for traffic moving through and to all areas that have been impacted by the storm. Customers with questions regarding local service should contact their Operations and Service Support, Unit Train, Automotive, or Intermodal representative.

Ongoing updates will be provided as storm recovery efforts progress.
