SUFFOLK, Va. — Barbara Deloatch had a front-row seat as the cleanup continued Monday from a weekend train derailment that twisted railway cars and spilled tons of coal in downtown Suffolk. A worker had told her there’d be a train running along the tracks once again by Monday, Deloatch said from her front porch on Wellons Street. It’ll never happen, she recalled telling him. But early Monday morning, she heard a familiar whistle.
