NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Southern is actively monitoring the remnants of Hurricane Sally as the storm moves across the southern portion of our network. NS’ operations in its Mobile, Alabama, yard have resumed. Customers should expect 48-72 hour delays to their traffic as operations return to normal in this area.
NS resumed operations in its New Orleans yard on Sept. 16, and interchange traffic has resumed though the New Orleans gateway. Customers should expect 24-48 hour delays to their traffic as operations return to normal.
