MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Norfolk Southern has stopped handling intermodal freight containers at Harris Yard in mid-city Memphis and moved those operations to suburban Rossville. The change means less truck traffic and storage of containers and chassis and less activity at the 38-acre rail yard along Southern Avenue between the University of Memphis and the Fairgrounds.
